There was this Cantonese drama series which I found rather amusing but sweet. The heroine had a beautiful 'dream picture' and she believed that the guy who shared that same picture would ultimately be her soulmate. That picture is that of lovely sunflowers by the side of an old coffee table, surrounded by a wooden fence with the sun shining brightly.
I do not harbour such sentiments but I have a 'dream picture'. It is kind of influenced by advertisements. I really liked this Sony advertisement that was on the TV about 5 years ago. People were walking down a street and all around them, balls in light pastel shades of rainbow colours were floating down slowly and gently. It was like snowing rainbow colours! It makes me happy just thinking of it. Then, there was a Dutch Lady advertisement in recent years where the rainbow, butterflies, flowers and everything just burst onto the silver screen all at once. Again, it makes me happy just thinking of it.
Even then, nothing can match the natural beauty of the magnificent rainbow in the sky. While I was driving on the road, I caught sight of a rainbow twice last week. I could not help but stare in awe and wonder. But not for too long, else I would cause a traffic hazard. I wish I could. That few seconds were so precious; precious enough to brighten my otherwise mundane week. Imagine, by staring into the sky at the seven stripes - violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red, it can lift up one's spirit just like that. Such pure joy! How I wish for rainbow happiness everyday!
